Manifest By Roxie Nafousi Book Review

Welcome to my review of Manifest by Roxie Nafousi. I saw this recommended on YouTube but unfortunately, it wasn’t for me. You may find it helpful if you already have some knowledge but feel a bit overwhelmed or are completely new to manifesting.

A meeting of science and wisdom, manifesting is a philosophy and a self-development practice to help you reach for your goals, cultivate self-love and live your best life.

Roxie is a Self-Development Coach, Manifesting Expert, Ambassador for the Mental Health Foundation and Instagram Agony Aunt and contributor for Kourtney Kardashian’s wellness platform, POOSH. Roxie works with one-to-one clients as well as hosting monthly self-development workshops and webinars to over 600 people a month. She is the host of popular podcast series called “The Moments That Made Me”. Her commitment to transforming the lives of people who suffer with emotional and mental-health issues and helping them to fulfil their potential has seen her become a well-known and respected figure in the wellness world.

I listened to this via audible after a recommendation on YouTube. While it has a great idea of manifesting the things you want in life (something I subscribe to in some ways), I didn’t get on so well with this book.

Firstly, the positives. Nafousi narrates the audiobook herself and has a lovely voice, so listening along wasn’t difficult and, in fact, was a pretty relaxing experience. The ideas around manifesting are valid. She has some good examples to back this up from her experiences and clients’.

This is also an excellent start for those who want to know more about manifesting or feel a bit overwhelmed with the information they already have. But, again, it was a concise guide.

However, I found it a little irritating with the notes, the seemingly constant “my client…”. In addition, I felt her main focus had been on finding love previously. She had been with rich men she didn’t seem to particularly like, perhaps in part to help fund her drug habit. However, she has made significant improvements to her life, such as getting off drugs, finding a life partner, and having a child. Things have calmed down for her since this new relationship. She now has a job and a far more stable life, and I feel pleased that manifesting has helped her focus on what she wants and achieve this.

If you are in a similar situation, this may be especially helpful for you to read. The writing style worked well for me as it’s pretty chatty and friendly rather than telling you what to do as such.

I just didn’t connect very well with the book, and I didn’t learn anything new. So this one was not for me.
