Time for something a little different! Over the next 9 days, I am going to review all of Lana Melyan’s ‘The Weight of Magic” series. these are written as sort novellas like a Netflix or TV series and having binge read them in that way I thought I would review them in that way too!
I have never read a book by Lana Meylan before, but I had heard a lot of chatter about book 9 on a Facebook group and so really wanted to give it a try! These are short novella’s of around 70 pages each and are designed to be read in order to tell the story in a similar way to a TV series.
This has been a great little series to read and has been amazing to be able to read them one after the other in this way, I have really enjoyed them! If you would like to read them as well, they take between 1-2 hours per book and I would highly recommend starting from book one and working your way through them one after the other. This has been an amazing way to read them and has made it extra exciting. I would love to see this make a new Netflix series in the near future.Â
Thanks to Lana Melyan for an awesome series, keep up the great work and hopefully, there will be a new series for me to read after I’ve finished The Eternity Road trilogy!
It’s now or never.
The Gates to the land of the dead are about to open. This is our last fight, our last attempt to put Kenneth down.
Will I be able to fulfill my mission?
All I know is that I am ready to use every bit of my magic to stop hell from breaking loose.
The CALL of BLOOD is the final episode of The Weight of Magic series. For more adventures in an exciting paranormal, urban fantasy world, grab a copy of Lana Melyan’s THE ETERNITY ROAD trilogy to take a roller-coaster ride with immortal Hunters, vampires, and witches.
The novella series The Weight of Magic is a quick-paced, exciting ride with unexpected turns and twists. It’s like a TV show in a book form. Each episode tells one portion of the story and is designed to be read in order. Fans of The Vampire Diaries, Twilight, Legacies, and devoted friend and powerful witch Bonnie Bennett, will love Lana Melyan’s brand new series. Start your binge read now.
Lana Melyan is the author of paranormal fantasy novels filled with epic love stories, great adventure, magic, humor, and strong and powerful heroines.
When she’s not writing, she likes to binge-watch TV shows, and that’s where the idea of the new, fast-paced, episodic format of The Weight of Magic serials came from.
Video games are her other hobby. Lara Croft has instilled in her a love for PS games and her The Eternity Road book trailer is narrated by Nathan McCree, the composer of the first three Tomb Raider games.
Lana has studied literature for five years. She lives in beautiful Norway with her two daughters.

Sadly, we are already onto the final book in the series.
Saving Nate has cost Nicky more than she expected, with their enemy awakened from his 200-year sleep, along with The Order he only has one thing on his mind, to open a gate between the living and the dead to bring back those passed to enhance their powers.
Nicky has the support of her usual group of friends and others and together they work to overcome The Order and to stop them opening the gate, but can they do it in time and are they strong enough?
This was a great end to a fantastic series. Lana Melyan has written an outstanding series that truly does read like a Netflix series and keeps you desperate for the next instalment. With a great theme of good versus evil, brilliant characters that, even as an adult, I could easily connect to and a lot of built-up excitement throughout.
With this being the last in the series I would highly recommend going back and reading them all from the beginning!
