Time for something a little different! Over the next 9 days, I am going to review all of Lana Melyan’s ‘The Weight of Magic” series. these are written as sort novellas like a Netflix or TV series and having binge read them in that way I thought I would review them in that way too!
I have never read a book by Lana Meylan before, but I had heard a lot of chatter about book 9 on a Facebook group and so really wanted to give it a try! These are short novella’s of around 70 pages each and are designed to be read in order to tell the story in a similar way to a TV series.
The mission always comes first.
That’s what I’ve been told and what I believed. I tried to do my best. But I’ve made my fair share of sacrifices, and I’m not losing anyone else.
This time, I’ll first protect the one I love, and then I’ll deal with the consequences.

The mission is the most important thing in Nicky’s life, that’s all there is to focus on. She has tried her best and made many sacrifices and she is determined not to lose anyone else. The characters are really beginning to come into their own and Nicky’s skills and bravery grow every day.
More dark events come into play and the excitement grows as we are coming to the end of the series. Nicky and her friends try to locate Nate and complete the sword so that they are ready to defeat The Order.
I’m really loving this series and am sad that it gets near the end with just one last book to go. At the same time, I’m super excited for the last ‘episode’!
